Pawagam

I recently discovered an independent near Soho. I say ‚Äňrecently‚Äô because despite the fact that I must have walked near the surrounding area several hundred times, I never noticed there was an actual cinema there! How was that possible? Well this time, there weren‚Äôt that many people around and you can actually pay attention to your surroundings rather than concentrate on avoiding oncoming…. Which reminds of an incident yonks ago when I was hanging out with my much younger friends. We were planning to catch a movie at one of the more popular cinemas, when I asked,

“Nak tengok kat pawagam mana?”

One particular friend burst into hysterical laughter.

Whereas the Oxford English Dictionary defines it as, “The action of touching someone’s feet lightly with one’s own as a playful expression of romantic interest”.Can I assume that everyone’s got the gist of it?… I could barely hear her and seeing as I was eager to please; adjusted my chair to get closer, not realising she had planted her foot just next to me.*CRUNCHHH!*Poor Kathy was in too much pain to even let out an audible scream.Anyway, I came across this video clip a few days ago and it kind of reminded me of her.To Kathy, wherever you are, I’m ever so sorry!

I […]
